Dress For Success

The mission of Dress for Success is to advance low-income women's economic and social development and to encourage self-sufficiency through career development and employment retention. Dress for Success responds to the needs of our communities by providing programs that help economically disadvantaged women acquire jobs, retain their new positions and succeed in the mainstream workplace.

The Center for Working Families (CWF)
at the Abraham Lincoln Centre provides a supportive and resource rich environment where families can obtain access to employment services, family economic supports, financial services, community connections and other high quality services in their neighborhood.

The Center for Working Families is open Mondays through Fridays from 9 am until 4:30 pm, and conveniently located on the corners of Pershing Avenue and Cottage Grove Avenue. It is easily accessible by public transportation.

Through a new approach of outreach, coaching, and a set of “bundled” services, professional and caring staff assist families in reaching their economic goals by helping them achieve stable employment and career advancement opportunities, receive available income and work supports, and access fairly-priced financial services within their neighborhood.

Bottomless Closet provides professional clothing, job readiness, and post-employment training and coaching services to women on assistance and working-poor women.

The mission of Bottomless Closet is to support women in transition by providing business professional clothing, career skills and image coaching, empowering them to interview with confidence, gain employment and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
